Post-Publication Discussion
1. Aims and Scope
Heritage: Journal of Social Studies encourages open, constructive, and responsible scholarly discussion after articles are published. This policy provides an opportunity for readers, researchers, and the academic community to submit questions, criticisms, responses, or relevant information regarding published articles.
Post-publication discussions aim to improve the quality of scholarly discourse, clarify research findings, and maintain the accuracy and integrity of the publication record.
2. Submitting Responses
Responses to published articles can be submitted through the journal's official contact details listed on the Heritage: Journal of Social Studies website. Responses must include the identity of the article being discussed, the main issue, a clear scientific argument, and references or supporting evidence, if relevant.
Responses must be delivered professionally, based on evidence, and avoid statements that are personal, discriminatory, or unrelated to the scientific substance of the article.
3. Review and Follow-up
The editor will assess the relevance, scientific merit, and evidence base of each response received. If necessary, the editor may request clarification from the article's authors, involve peer reviewers or relevant experts, and request additional supporting evidence.
Based on the evaluation results, the journal may:
a) Provide editorial responses or clarifications.
b) Request authors provide scientific responses to submitted criticisms.
c) Publish letters to the editor, scientific comments, or post-publication responses if in accordance with the journal's publishing policies and facilities.
d) Conduct further investigation if the response indicates substantial errors or suspected violations of publication ethics.
Decisions regarding publication of responses are made objectively, taking into account scientific relevance, the quality of the argument, supporting evidence, and publication ethics.
4. Article Corrections and Retractions
If post-publication discussions reveal errors or suspected violations of academic integrity, the journal will conduct an investigation based on available evidence and provide an opportunity for relevant parties to provide clarification.
If necessary, the journal may publish corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions, in accordance with the seriousness of the issue and the ethical principles of scientific publication. Any corrective action will be linked to the relevant article so readers can track the status change and the reasons for the action.
5. Principle of Fairness and Transparency
All post-publication feedback and discussions are handled fairly, professionally, and based on evidence. Authors are given a reasonable opportunity to respond to criticisms related to their articles.
The journal maintains the confidentiality of relevant information during review and avoids decisions based on conflicts of interest or pressure from any party.
Heritage: Journal of Social Studies is committed to supporting responsible scholarly discussion, maintaining transparency in the editorial process, and upholding the integrity of the scientific publication record.
6. Contact
Feedback, questions, or reports regarding published articles can be submitted through the official Heritage: Journal of Social Studies contact information available on the journal's website.
